When devices starts talking to one another

The standalone killer device or an app that can
revolutionize the way people live their lives was introduced in the early
2000s. This all happened with the introduction of the iPhone.

It was as if people were using their Blackberries or their feature phones one day and the next, we were all found in a place where we cannot even fathom a world without

It’s hard to replicate the experience that the iPhone gave
when it was first introduced into the market. We live in a world where all
electrical appliances are getting smart.

Basic appliances like microwaves or refrigerators
all now have chips embedded in them to perform all sorts of arithmetic
calculations to automate, inform, or estimate the needed actions for us to be
more productive. In other words, they have a passive brain for us to use.

Now, with the introduction of 5G (or simply put a next-gen
wireless connectivity service). These devices can now talk to one another.

This means every device can collect data (preference) of
their users and share it with other devices. Each device can offer a unique
convenience or a bespoke experience to its users.

The age of advanced connectivity is upon us.

As a marketer of technology and components, I do not
want to use to blog to sell you on the technologies. Stuff like that is for
engineers that build those devices that connect with each other.

I am here to explore the benefits that we will be receiving
as human beings. As beings that are offered better tools to enrich our lives.

Imagine having to get in your car and from the moment your
car starts the generative AI in your vehicle is already gathering information
about your status and offering meaningful alternatives.

Alternatives like ‘What kind of food would best serve you after hours of entrenched meetings’ or ‘What is the nearest café to try out that delicious financier that you were Googling during lunch time’ or ‘to guide you to the nearest mart since your fridge is warning you that you are running low on eggs.

Such an experience will enable us to be more productive and
be more concentrated on things that make us better for society.

Yes, the Internet of Things offers more than just
‘Connecting devices’ can alter one’s life for the better. I cannot wait to
share my thoughts on where this is going and how we will be benefiting.
